Rothwell seeking a Treasurer and a Bookkeeper
The Treasurer will be a member of Rothwell, will have oversight of Rothwell's finances, will attend meetings as required and ensure that Rothwell's charitable status with CRA is maintained.
The bookkeeper, who need not be a Rothwell member, will take on a number of the financial management roles heretofore handled by the Treasurer. This role may appeal to a younger person looking for a few years experience before moving to positions involving greater responsibility. It may also appeal to a retired person with the time, interest and aptitude.
Interested persons should contact Cam Bowes ( for a job description.

Photo Walk October 20th

The beauty of God's creation is everywhere, and anyone can capture it through photos. Join us for a photo walk on the Parkway Saturday, October 20th at 3:00-5:00 PM. We'll meet in the church parking lot and car-pool. Dennis Cartwright and Paul Bornn have offered to share their skills to help us compose and take beautiful photos. Bring whichever camera you may have (cell phones work great!). We'll use these works of art in worship on October 28th.

Are You Caring For A Loved One With Dementia?
If your loved one wanders at night, they may feel lost, be at risk of falling, or try to leave.
 Imagine if simple devices could:
Detect when your loved one gets out of bed
Guide them safely to a bathroom and back by turning on/off lights
Coax them back to bed using verbal messages that tell them it’s night time
Notify you if your loved one is about to open doors or leave your home
Help you get a better sleep, when you need it most.
We are looking for people to help us test these solutions.
Smart Home: Dementia Wandering Solutions
Bruyère Research Institute, in collaboration with Champlain LHIN, Carleton University, The Dementia Society, and Carefor, is currently recruiting participants for a FREE trial to test an innovative in-home technology system.
We will test and evaluate:
Reliability and usefulness of the system
Impact on helping caregivers improve their quality of sleep and reduce stress levels
How the person with dementia reacts to the system.
This system is very flexible; together, we will work with you to design solutions that best meet your needs.
