• ​Men’s Breakfast will be on Thursday, June 15 at Connor’s Pub in Orleans. This will be the last breakfast before summer. We will resume again in September.

  • The Singles Club closing meeting for the first part of the year will be a BBQ at the home of Brenda Vroom on Friday June 16th at 6:30 p.m. Please bring something to cook on the BBQ for yourself, and something that can be shared e.g. salad, dessert etc. A few extra garden chairs would also be useful. Brenda's address is 1857 Appleford St. All Singles and Singles Again are invited and we look forward to seeing you on Friday.

  • Rothwell choir and bell choir will be meeting on Thursday, June 22, 6 pm for a summer potluck at Evelyn Budd's home.

  • Before summer holidays, the ladies of U.C.W. will be going out for lunch on Tuesday, June 20th at 12:00 p.m. at the Mandarin Restaurant, 2055 Tenth Line Road, Orleans.  All ladies of the congregation are welcome to attend.  The price for lunch is $16.99 + tax.  Please let Nancy Hauley (ph 613-746-5917) know by Sunday, June 18th if you would like to attend, so that our reservation can be updated. 

  • ​Heather Gordon's Dad, Terry Campbell, died suddenly Thursday night. No arrangements have been made yet. Our thoughts and prayers are with Heather, Bruce, Bronwyn and Rhianna.

  • ​Paul would like to thank everyone for their love, support, cards and meals during June’s illness. The funeral was a fitting tribute to June, thanks to the many people who helped on that day. Thanks to the U.C.W. for the wonderful lunch that all enjoyed. Evelyn Budd provided the special bulletins for the service. Special thanks to Rev.  Mike for his touching service and comforting words

Country Fun Nature Camp is a non-denominational Christian eco-camp for children aged 5-13 that nurtures love for God, self, others, and the environment. The camp takes place at Tucker House, with a free camp bus transporting students from across Ottawa to Rockland.  They are looking for youth to staff their camps. Leaders-in-Training, who are generally 14-17 years old, and Leaders, who are usually 18 and over. LITs assist Leaders with animating activities for groups of campers; they also assist with snack time, craft time, and special activities.
This year, camp runs July 10-14 and 17-21, with mandatory staff training July 3-8 and a staff thank-you party on August 11-13. Staff applications are at bit.ly/CFNCLeaderLIT.
